Under the Radar
Under the Radar is the new music section on Scotsman.com, and the main reason that my own blog isn’t updated nearly as often as it could be.
I edit it with Billy Hamilton, who has written for Drowned in Sound, Clash and many other magazines, and we take contributions from around half a dozen bloggers.
We try to update it on a daily basis with band profiles, news, gig previews, guest blogs and podcasts.
In Novermber 2009 it was nominated in the Record of the Day awards in the Breaking Music – Best Section/Writer category. In January it finished number six in the Scotblogs poll of the best blogs by ‘journalists / mainstream media’ in Scotland.
So we must be doing something right.
