Hi nick. Thanks for you encouraging words last week. I see you work as a journalist and I was wondering if you could give any advice as to how to get some press in to my show. It can be quite tough being on the free festival.
Thanks John

Hope all is good! Little album promo I made yesterday at the beach near where I live: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x7lbXQZqe8
Keep you posted...

"Passion, guile and a voice to stand up to Thom Yorke” said the Scotland on Sunday, "hottest download of the week", said The Sunday Times, "a gem" said The Telegraph. Alex's songs have been featured in films and numerous hit TV shows. BBC Radio have been playing his music pretty much on repeat in recent years and this is music that has been produced and released from an Edinburgh bedroom. Amazing what you can do with no money, a lot of talent and a healthy dose of determination. Alex's third album is called "This is the Point", this time recorded in Alex's new home in Dunbar (a small town on the North Sea just outside Edinburgh) with his friends and live band. There's no co-writes, it's all live, it's all real and it's coming out soon. Alex even makes the f*cking promo videos. For more information, vidoes, upcoming tour dates and free downloads see www.alexcornish.com.

Dear Nick,

We’re contacting you with regards to reviewing or featuring some music from our band, King Capisce, who are a Post-Jazz/Rock quintet based in the musically renowned city of Sheffield, UK.

After a manic two years of gigging, we’re set to officially release our debut album ‘King Capisce’ - which was recorded at 2Fly studios with award-winning producer Alan Smyth (Arctic Monkeys, 65daysofstatic, Reverend and the Makers) - in the coming month. Early reviews have already caused quite a stir with press and labels (see attached document). 'All about Jazz.com' call it 'a strong, fascinating, debut that heralds the arrival of a potentially great band'. while according to Somojo Magazine the band have 'a knock-out album on their hands and are going to continue to go far. They are well on their way to opening the eyes and ears of listeners all over the globe'.

We’re also excited about showcasing the album at our upcoming BBC session.

King Capisce seek to capture audiences while staying true to our creative ethos, largely based on a determination not to repeat what has already been done. Our music is cinematic, melodic, soulful and technically accomplished. The sound is often unrelenting, and have drawn comparisons to Jaga Jazzist, The Mars Volta and Acoustic Ladyland.

It would be great if you could give it a listen. I know you seek to pioneer new music on your site. Hopefully this will be to your musical tastes.

Please find below links to a copy of our Debut Album ‘King Capisce’ as well as a press pack including Artist Biography and Photos.

Alrite mate, Ian here. French at Edinburgh - long time ago....

Was just reminiscing about Edinburgh and came across your blog. Congratulations mate on all you've achieved so far. Especially your big award.

I'm in Belgium working for NATO right now. Head back to Scotland in September. Hope you're around for a pint. And we never did make it to the only night club in Leven but there's still time!

Take care buddy. Ian.
